History:
During 1944, the 2nd Armored Division in Normandy individual units as well as part of the 30th Infantry Division units fielded a "frog skin camouflage," but since these camouflage are very similar to region's SS soldiers in camouflage combat uniforms, and led to some friendly fire incident, was later withdrawn.
